Stay Safe with CKK was developed in partnership with the Australian Federal Police and Screencraft. The design goal was to develop a fun and engaging way to teach kids about safety.
This was achieved through the development of a short quest game, where users have to speak to npc's and help them with a series of daily challenges designed to focus on and teach kids the correct/safe responses. Safety areas covered included road safety, stranger danger, privacy and online safety, and community safety.
The Lightning Rock team worked closely with experts from the AFP, and conducted numerous school visits and focus groups to ensure the game was relevent, interesting and engaging for users.

The game included full voice acting, bright engaging colours, and a range of well known characters from the AFP's Constable Kenny team.
Stay safe with CKK was released simultaneously across web, ios and google play stores as both a downloadable app and webgl application. Based on the success of the initial version Lightning Rock were contracted to expand the game to include a 'free roam' version allowing players to explore the neighbourhood, earning badges and finding safety concerns.
